UPDATED 07/15/2025 - The Silver Alert issued by the Indiana State Police has been cancelled. The Knox County Sheriff's Office has confirmed with WAKC News Now that Myers was located in Missouri and is safe.

KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - New information has been released about a Bicknell woman reported missing over the weekend.

According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, 54-year-old Melissa G. Myers was reported missing on Sunday, July 13, by her nephew, Timothy Fagan.

Fagan told deputies that on Saturday, July 12, Myers left a note on the kitchen table on saying she was leaving the house to go to Hobby Lobby in Vincennes to apply for a job.

Neither Fagan nor his mother had heard from Myers in about 36 hours.

Deputies attempted to ping Myers’ cellphone, but it was offline and no data could be retrieved.

Deputies checked local motels, drove the area, and reviewed the Flock Camera System for a vehicle matching the description, but were unable to locate Myers or the vehicle.

Myers is believed to be driving a black Mini Cooper with a soft top and a temporary Missouri paper license plate.

Myers is described as a white female, about 5’8” tall and weighing 180 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

A Silver Alert was issued early Monday morning by the Indiana State Police.

Myers is believed to be in extreme danger and may need medical assistance.

If you have any information about her whereabouts, call the Knox County Sheriff’s Office at 812-882-7660 or dial 911 immediately.
