Man Arrested After Vehicle Crashes Onto Railroad Tracks

VINCENNES, Ind. (We Are Knox County) – A man was arrested following a crash near the intersection of Hebert Road and Washington Avenue Tuesday night.
According to the Knox County Sheriff's Office, deputies arrived around 11:00 p.m. and found a car crashed on railroad tracks near the intersection.
Deputies said they found 34-year-old Davy J. Williams lying in front of the vehicle which was stuck on the railroad tracks with its rear end in the air and its front tires digging into the rocks around the tracks.
Deputies said they determined Williams was intoxicated after conducting standard field sobriety tests.
Williams refused a portable breath test and was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for a blood draw.
Williams was later arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with a prior arrest, a Level 6 felony.
Williams was booked into the Knox County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
