VPD Arrest Woman For OWI



The Vincennes Police Department arrest a woman Monday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and driving while suspended.


Around 10:30 Monday morning, Officer Swick of the Vincennes Police Department pulled over a vehicle at 14th and Bayou Street after receiving a call claiming a matching vehicle had almost caused an accident.


During the stop, the driver, 37 year old Tonya Riker was found to be driving on a Driving While Suspended-prior driving status. Officer's also detected the smell of alcohol on Riker's breath.

Riker failed a standard sobriety test and was later found to have a BAC of .233.


Riker was booked into the Knox County Jail and charge with Operating a Vehicle while intoxicated and Driving while Suspended.
