Two Arrested Following Alleged Fundraising Scam in Vincennes

VINCENNES, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - Two people have been arrested following an investigation into what authorities describe as a scam.
According to the Vincennes Police Department, 37-year-old Amanda Marie Peyregne and 47-year-old Andrew David Peyregne, both of Mobile, Alabama, were arrested and charged with two counts of delinquency of a minor and two counts of theft.
Detectives allege that one or both of the Peyregnes escorted juvenile children dressed in football gear to local businesses, where they claimed to be collecting donations for a football fundraiser.
Police say the incidents occurred on Friday, April 17.
The investigation remains ongoing.
