Man Arrested After Traffic Stop on State Road 67 near Bruceville

BRUCEVILLE, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - A Knox County Sheriff’s deputy patrolling northern Knox County on Monday night arrested a man on drug and alcohol charges.


According to the Sheriff’s Office, the deputy stopped a Ford F-150 that was swerving on State Road 67 near Bruceville.


The driver, 57-year-old Bertis Robb Jr., showed signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests. Robb told the deputy he had smoked methamphetamine the night before.


A K-9 unit searched the truck and located several small plastic baggies containing a white powdery substance that tested positive for methamphetamine.


Deputies also found items commonly used to manufacture methamphetamine.


Robb was taken to the hospital for medical clearance before being booked into the Knox County Jail.


He faces charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated.


Robb remains in jail on a $15,000 bond.
