Firefighters From Three Counties Battle Sandborn Fire

SANDBORN, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - Firefighters spent Thursday evening battling a warehouse fire in northern Knox County.

Firefighters from northern Knox County along with Daviess and Greene counties responded to Wagler Custom Homes located at 106 East College Street in Sandborn around 8:00pm.

It took firefighters over two hours to extinguish the fire.

The street — and even the nearby train track — had to be temporarily shut down while the fire was put out.

Knox County Emergency Management Director John Streeter told WAKC News Now that part of the building was saved.

No injuries were reported, though Streeter said some firefighters experienced heat-related issues.

They were treated and released at the scene.

The cause of the fire and further details have not yet been released.
