OAKTOWN, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - A burglary at a gas station in northern Knox County is under investigation.
Police responded to Casey’s General Store in Oaktown at 12:56a.m. on Saturday after the alarm was triggered.
According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived to find the front left door of the store broken and the alarm still sounding.
Security footage showed two suspects inside the store.
A third suspect, wearing a brown hoodie and red mask, was seen on camera outside the building, appearing to act as a lookout.
The burglars are believed to have stolen approximately $885.39 in merchandise, with an additional $29.26 in damaged goods.
The estimated cost to repair the door is $1,100.
The suspects have not yet been identified, and no further information has been released.
