Resurfacing Project Scheduled for State Road 241

The Indiana Department of Transportation announces lane restrictions on State Road 241 in Decker.

Beginning on or around Monday, May 6, contractors will close a lane of State Road 241 through the town of Decker from about a mile east of U.S. 41 to State Road 61 in Monroe City as they begin an asphalt resurfacing project. During this project, workers will be present during the daytime hours and one 11-foot lane will be open at all times. The project requires workers to mill off the top layer of asphalt and replace it with one to two inches of new pavement.

Depending upon weather conditions, the resurface is expected to be complete by the end of June. Rain and other inclement conditions could cause delays.

INDOT urges drivers to slow down and stay alert near crews.
