Vincennes Man Charged After Alleged Social Media Threats Toward County Commissioners

VINCENNES, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - A Vincennes man has been arrested after allegedly making threatening comments on social media toward Knox County Commissioners.
According to a probable cause affidavit, 59-year-old Allen Williams was arrested after commenting “kill the commissioners” and “kill solar fields or be killed.”
The affidavit states Williams admitted to making the comments to a deputy with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the affidavit, Williams told the deputy he “doesn’t want to hurt anyone, nor did he mean anything by it,” adding he was “just mad.”
The affidavit also states Williams agreed to a search of his cellphone by the Knox County High Tech Crime Unit.
Williams was arrested and charged with intimidation, a Level 6 felony.
