Vincennes Man Arrested on Attempted Murder Charge After Weekend Shooting


VINCENNES, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - A Vincennes man remains behind bars on an attempted murder charge.


According to police, officers were dispatched just after midnight Sunday to a home on Scott Street in Vincennes after receiving a 911 call from a man who said he needed police before hanging up.


When officers arrived, they were initially unable to make contact with anyone inside the home.


Police say they were later informed that a man inside the residence had reported being shot.


Once inside the home, officers located an adult male suffering from several apparent gunshot wounds.


Police tell WAKC News Now the victim was treated at the scene and later transported to Good Samaritan Hospital for further medical evaluation.


A separate individual, 40-year-old Junior S. Theodore, was later located at Good Samaritan Hospital.


Theodore was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
