Vincennes Lincoln Senior Selected to Team USA Baseball Roster

VINCENNES, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - A Vincennes Lincoln High School senior is getting another opportunity to represent his country on the international baseball stage.

Cooper Collins has been selected as one of just 20 players from across the country to represent the United States on the 2026 USA Baseball 18U National Team, according to the Vincennes Community School Corporation.

Collins was named to the final roster following the conclusion of training camp at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina.

Collins will compete with Team USA at the WBSC U-18 Pan American Championship in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

For Collins, making the final roster came after competing alongside some of the nation's top young baseball players.

“There are a lot of really good baseball players there, and you’re all fighting for one thing. So when you hear your name, it’s a really good feeling,” Collins stated in the press release.

This marks the second time Collins has represented the United States on a national team.

Collins was previously a member of the 2024 USA Baseball 15U National Team and has also participated in USA Baseball’s 16U/17U National Team Development Program.

“It’s probably one of the biggest honors to put USA across your chest,” Collins said in the release.

Collins will begin international competition with Team USA on October 22 as the United States looks to bring home a gold medal.

The tournament runs through October 29.
