Vincennes Fireworks Postponed Following Death of Longtime Organizer

VINCENNES, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - The annual fireworks show in Vincennes has been postponed following the unexpected death of a longtime event organizer.
The announcement was made around 3:15 p.m. Saturday.
According to the Vincennes Mayor’s Office, Bob Johnson, who organized and conducted the community fireworks display for many years, has died.
“We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time,” the Mayor’s Office said in a statement.
A new date for the fireworks show has not yet been announced.
Officials confirmed that food trucks and live music at Patrick Henry Square as well as the annual parade will continue as scheduled.
