Uebelhor and Sons GMC Makes Donation to Knox County Veterans Court

VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A local dealership in Vincennes donated money to the Knox County Veterans Court.

Uebelhor and Sons GMC donated $820 to help those involved with the program.

The Knox County Veterans Court is a specialized court program designed to help veterans who become involved in the criminal justice system.

These funds will help provide incentives, rewards, and other supportive benefits that encourage participants to actively engage in the program.

“It is a county program. We get grants to help fund necessities. What we do not get grant funding for are things like incentives. Incentives are a term of art that is utilized by the All Rise program, and it’s basically what it sounds like: If you do good, you get a reward,” Judge of the Knox County Circuit Court Monica Gilmore said.

Gilmore also says this is the first donation the program has received.
