Two Knox County Men Behind Bars, Facing Firearm Charges

VINCENNES, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - Two men are behind bars following an altercation involving a firearm.


The incident occurred Monday morning around 10:30 a.m. on McClure Road in Vincennes.


Upon arriving at the scene, deputies with the Knox County Sheriff's Office made contact with 21-year-old Jayden C. Eakins and another individual.


WAKC News Now has chose not to name this individual, as they are not facing charges at this time.


It was later determined that a third person, 36-year-old Timothy M. Demoura, had left the scene.


According to the Knox County Sheriff's Office, Eakins fired a gun at Demoura.


Demoura is said to have broken the windows of the unnamed individual's vehicle and threatened Eakins with a hammer.


Eakins was arrested at the scene and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm.


Demoura was later arrested and charged with criminal mischief and intimidation with a deadly weapon.


Both men have been booked into the Knox County Jail.


Deputies say nobody was injured during the incident.
