Transformer Damage Leaves Parts of Knox County in the Dark

UPDATE AT 12:50A.M. - Win Energy is now reporting only 218 customers in Knox County are without power.
KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - Several people in Knox County remain without power following Sunday evening’s storms.
As of 10:00 p.m., WIN Energy REMC reports that 643 customers in Knox County are without power.
Most of those customers are in the northern part of the county between Vincennes and Oaktown.
In a Facebook post, WIN Energy said people should expect extended outage times due to the extent of the damage.
The post also says there was damage to a transformer at a substation, which is causing the outage in northern Knox County.
Crews are currently working at the substation on State Road 67 between Bruceville and Vincennes.
