Traffic Stop on Highway 50 Leads to Arrest

KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - A Washington, Indiana woman was arrested over the weekend following a traffic stop in Knox County.
According to a Facebook post by Indiana State Police Sergeant Todd Ringle, an 18-year-old woman was stopped on Highway 50 for driving 84 mph.
Ringle says during the traffic stop, a state trooper detected the odor of burnt cannabis.
The trooper said the driver displayed signs of impairment and failed field sobriety tests.
Ringle says a roadside test came back positive for cannabis.
The woman was arrested for operating while intoxicated.
The name of the woman arrested was not released.
Toxicology results are pending.
