Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrest in Northern Knox County

BICKNELL, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - A traffic stop in northern Knox County has a man back behind bars.
Deputies with the Knox County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle with no working taillights at the intersection of State Road 67 and Bruce Road outside of Bicknell early Wednesday morning.
The car was driven by 42-year-old Adam Decoursey.
A K-9 officer alerted deputies to the possible presence of illegal narcotics inside the vehicle.
Deputies searched the vehicle and located a black bag that allegedly contained cocaine, along with a red hose and a cylindrical glass pipe with burnt residue.
The substance tested positive for cocaine and weighed 24.3 grams.
Deputies seized 24.3 grams of cocaine and over $6,000 in cash as evidence.
Decoursey was arrested and booked into the Knox County Jail on charges of possession of cocaine and possession of paraphernalia.
According to deputies, Decoursey had previously been arrested in May on a cocaine possession charge.
Decoursey was later released after posting bond.
