VINCENNES, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - Members of the Old Town Players are asking for your help!
The nonprofit community theater in Vincennes kicked off a fundraising campaign at the beginning of March.
The goal is to raise $50,000 by April 30.
The fundraiser is supported by the Indiana Housing & Community Development Authority (IHCDA).
If the theater reaches its $50,000 goal, the IHCDA will match the amount.
The money is needed to purchase a new roof, repaint the theater’s auditorium ceiling, and make the veranda and entryway safe for use.
So far, the theater has raised $4,340, leaving $45,660 still needed.
The building is more than just a community theater.
In 2024, the basement became home to the ‘Vincennes Teen Center.’
The teen center provides a safe space for Knox County students to unwind, learn, and make friends.
