Silver Alert Declared for Missing Vincennes Man



UPDATED AT 9:09PM ON 10/15/2024 - The Knox County Sheriff's Office has confirmed Dinkins has been found safe, therefor the Silver Alert has been cancelled.


VINCENNES, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - A statewide Silver Alert has been issued for a missing man from Knox County.


The Vincennes Police Department is investigating the disappearance of 70-year-old Gene Dinkins, who was last seen on Monday around 9:30 AM.


He was wearing a light blue hoodie with a graphic design and jeans. Dinkins is described as a white male, standing 6 feet tall, weighing 160 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.


Dinkins is believed to be in danger and may require medical attention.
