Search Continues for Vincennes Woman Last Seen Over a Week Ago

VINCENNES, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - Police are continuing to search for a Vincennes woman who was last seen more than a week and a half ago.
A statewide Silver Alert was issued Thursday for 54-year-old Taunja Blackburn.
Vincennes Police Department Assistant Chief Mark Hensley told WAKC News Now that the department has received a few tips, but none have been “successful.”
Blackburn was last seen on August 30.
Hensley told WAKC News Now that Blackburn’s destination and who she may be with are currently unknown.
Police previously issued a Silver Alert for Blackburn on July 10.
Blackburn was located safely just a few hours after that alert was issued.
Blackburn is described as 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with red hair and blue eyes.
An investigation is ongoing, and authorities have not released any further details.
