Rainbow Beach Offering Free Admission During Extreme Heat

KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - The dangerous heat isn't letting up across Knox County, but there are a few ways to beat the heat.

Rainbow Beach at Gregg Park in Vincennes is offering free admission on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, giving families a chance to cool off at no cost.

The pool is open daily from noon until 6 p.m.

If you can't make it to the pool, splash parks are also available in Knox County.

In Vincennes, the splash park is located at Four Lakes Park.

In Bicknell, the splash pad is located at Southside Park.

An Extreme Heat Warning was issued by the National Weather Service on Tuesday and remains in effect through 8 p.m. Thursday.

Experts recommend staying hydrated, limiting time outdoors during the hottest part of the day, and checking on neighbors, older adults, children, and pets as the dangerous heat continues.
