Police Investigating Weekend Incident at Gregg Park in Vincennes

VINCENNES, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - Police are investigating an incident that occurred over the weekend at Gregg Park in Vincennes.

Authorities told WAKC News Now that an incident involving multiple individuals — both adults and minors — took place around 8:30 p.m. Sunday

No further details have been released at this time.

Jessica Sims, mother of one of the minors involved, provided some information about the incident to WAKC News Now.

Sims says her daughter and her daughter’s friends were allegedly attacked by two adults.

According to Sims, while her daughter was not injured, some of the other teens sustained injuries.

Sims claims that the alleged attackers left the park before police arrived.

Sims asks that anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or any nearby residents or businesses with security camera footage, to contact police.

The Vincennes Police Department is investigating the incident.
