One Injured, One Arrested Following Crash in Vincennes

VINCENNES, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - One woman is behind bars and a man is in the hospital following a crash Tuesday in Vincennes.


It happened near the intersection of Old U.S. 41 and Fort Knox Road.


According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, 33-year-old Kayla Wilson was driving a car that crossed the center line and hit another vehicle.


Deputies say Wilson appeared impaired while speaking with them at the scene.


Wilson later tested positive for methamphetamine.


Wilson was taken to the hospital to be checked out, then booked into the Knox County Jail.


Wilson is charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated resulting in serious bodily injury, possession of paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.


The sheriff’s office says Wilson also has a prior OWI from 2022.


Wilson remains in jail on a $5,000 bond.


The other driver, a 70-year-old man, was taken by ambulance to the hospital for observation.


His name has not been released.
