One Dead Following Crash on Highway 41 in Southern Knox County

DECKER, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - One man is dead following a single vehicle crash in southern Knox County on Tuesday.
The crash occurred just after 12:00 p.m. on Highway 41 near Schenk Drive, north of Decker.
According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, a semi loaded with coal was traveling south on Highway 41 when it crossed the median and both northbound lanes before crashing into an embankment and coming to rest on its side in a nearby cornfield.
Investigators believe the driver may have suffered a medical issue before the crash.
The driver, 48-year-old Karl Case of West Salem, Illinois, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say Case was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
No other information has been released.
