UPDATE 10/05/2024 at 10:15am: WAKC News Now has been informed by the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office that Kayla’s husband, Daniel Flaherty, was arrested at 11:15pm on Friday and charged with murder.
Sherrif Vanoven says no other information will be released at this time.
ORIGINAL STORY: DECKER, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - A missing woman from Gibson County has been found dead in Knox County.
The Knox County Coroner’s Office has confirmed the death of 36-year-old Kayla Flaherty.
Flaherty’s body was found on Wabash River Road in southwestern Knox County around 10:30 p.m. Friday.
An investigation is underway, and an autopsy has been scheduled.
No other information has been released.
Flaherty was reported missing from Patoka late Thursday evening.
