Man Arrested in Bicknell on Multiple Charges

BICKNELL, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - A quick-thinking text message to 911 early Wednesday morning led to the arrest of a man accused of violating a protective order.
According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, a woman in Bicknell sent a text to Knox County Central Dispatch around 5:40am reporting that a man—who was under a protective order—was attempting to enter her home.
Deputies arrived shortly after and located the suspect at the back door of the residence.
Authorities say the man initially gave a false name but was later identified as James Summers.
He was arrested and transported to the Knox County Jail.
Summers is facing charges of invasion of privacy for violating the protective order, as well as false informing.
The Sheriff’s Office also confirmed he had an active warrant for felony domestic battery out of Knox County and a separate felony warrant out of Illinois.
Summers remains in custody pending an initial court appearance.
