KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - Life After Meth (LAM), a local recovery support organization, has officially moved into a new office space in Vincennes.
The program is now located at 707 Busseron St., Suite D—just steps away from the Knox County Courthouse and probation offices.
“Sometimes we accompany our residents or participants to court appearances, probation, or drug court activities,” LAM Executive Director Marsha Bishop told WAKC News Now.
The move comes as the organization expands both its services and staff.
According to Bishop, LAM recently added four new team members.
“When it was just Tania and me, we could operate comfortably in the two offices at the CFS building,” Bishop said.
“But during the past four months, we’ve had to get creative about how, when, and where we are able to do the work!”
LAM currently operates recovery residences credentialed by the Indiana Department of Mental Health & Addiction, offering 28 beds.
Two additional houses are in development, which will add 20 more beds and expanded services.
“The two new houses will offer expanded services, life-skill building, and time for IOT or Drug Court, if that is an individual’s path,” said Bishop.
While LAM staff have already begun working from the new office, Bishop said the full setup is still in progress.
“We are using the new office space—and slowly settling in,” she said.
