WHEATLAND, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is urging drivers to use caution while traveling on Highway 50.
Floodwater has begun flowing into the westbound lane of Highway 50 between Wheatland and the Knox/Daviess County line, near Bottom Road in Knox County.
The highway is still open, but the right westbound lane is closed, with traffic shifted to the left (passing) lane.
The Indiana Department of Transportation was on the scene Wednesday evening to assess the situation.
Drivers can monitor changes to Highway 50 and other state roads on INDOT’s 511.org website.
