Firefighters Battle House Fire on Broadway Street in Vincennes

VINCENNES, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - Firefighters are currently battling a house fire on Broadway Street in Vincennes.
Firefighters were called to a home in the 1100 block of Broadway Street around 7:45 Wednesday evening.
A family member who owns the property told WAKC News Now that no one was living in the home at the time of the fire.
At one point, flames could be seen coming from the roof and windows through the heavy smoke.
Firefighters from the Vincennes City and Vincennes Township Fire Departments had at least two ladder trucks in operation as they worked to knock down the flames.
Several streets around the home — including 11th and 12th — are closed while the firefighters battle the fire.
No additional information has been released at this time.
