Firefighters Battle Fire on North 11th Street in Vincennes

VINCENNES, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - Firefighters are battling a house fire in Vincennes.

The fire happened at a home in the 1200 block of North 11th Street just before 10 p.m. Monday.

WAKC News Now confirmed with Vincennes City Fire Chief Brett Bobe that one person was taken to the hospital.

The fire remains under investigation, and the fire marshal has been contacted.

North 11th Street between Wabash Avenue and Oak Street as well as several surrounding streets remain closed as firefighters finish extinguishing the fire.

No other information about the fire or the victim’s condition has been released.
