Community to Gather Friday for Candlelight Vigil in Memory of Taylor Hendershot

KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - A candlelight vigil will be held Friday evening to honor the life of Taylor Hendershot and raise awareness about domestic violence.

The vigil is scheduled for 8 p.m. in the bus parking lot at South Knox Middle-High School.

Over 350 people have responded to the event posted on Facebook.

Attendees are encouraged to wear purple, the color symbolizing domestic violence awareness.

Hendershot died on August 5 following an incident involving her former boyfriend.

In the days since, friends, family, and community members have come together to show their support and share memories of her life.
