Celebrating the 4th of July in Vincennes

VINCENNES, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - Get ready for a fun-filled 4th of July in downtown Vincennes! There are lots of events planned for the whole family to enjoy. Here’s what’s happening:


Food Trucks at Patrick Henry Square

The Vincennes Firefighters Association is hosting a variety of food trucks at Patrick Henry Square all day long. You can find delicious treats from:

  • BD Fuller Pronto Pup

  • Kolbs Culinary Creations

  • Mexico que Lindo

  • Whitaker Beef

  • Thainamite

  • So Cool

  • Bee Happy Snow Bus

  • Malones Taffy

  • Band Boosters

  • Sammy’s Smoothie Bar


Live Music at Riverfront Pavilion

Those looking to spend the evening dancing and singing are encouraged to visit the Riverfront Pavilion for live music. The following bands will be performing:

  • Emmett Ransom: 4:00 PM - 4:30 PM

  • Cody Heckin Williams: 4:40 PM - 6:00 PM

  • Chain Station: 7:15 PM - 9:15 PM


4th of July Parade

Don’t miss the annual 4th of July Parade starting at 6:00 PM, rain or shine. Here’s the parade route:

  • The parade begins at 2nd Street and Hart Street.

  • It will go down Hart Street to 7th Street, then turn right.

  • From 7th Street, it will go to Main Street and turn right again.

  • Finally, it will go down Main Street to 2nd Street and turn right, ending at the Old State Bank and Harmony.


Fireworks on the Wabash

The celebration will conclude with a spectacular fireworks show over the Wabash River. The display is set to start around 9:45pm to 10:00pm, right after dusk.
