19-Year-Old Charged Following Domestic Incident Involving Firearm

VINCENNES, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - A 19-year-old is facing multiple charges following a domestic incident involving a firearm.

According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a home on Wessel Road in Vincennes Thursday afternoon.

Authorities say Gaige Michael Lewis followed his 17-year-old ex-girlfriend home from school and forced his way inside.

The victim told deputies that Lewis threatened to shoot her.

Friends of the victim provided deputies with video showing Lewis entering the home while holding a firearm.

Lewis left before deputies arrived but was later located at a residence on Barclay Drive where he was arrested.

Lewis is facing charges of intimidation with a deadly weapon, burglary while armed with a deadly weapon, and driving while suspended with a previous conviction.

Lewis remains in the Knox County Jail without bond pending the filing of formal charges.
