Wild Weather Wednesday: Rain, Thunder, Wind, Flurries, and a Temperature Drop

Writer: Nathan SpringfieldNathan Springfield

KNOX COUNTY, Ind. (We Are Knox County) - Keep the raincoat, the winter coat, and maybe even a windbreaker handy—you’ll need them all.

Wednesday will be a day of all kinds of weather.

Morning showers and a few rumbles of thunder will give way to rain mixing with scattered snow showers in the afternoon as temperatures take a tumble.

We’ll start around 50 degrees, but by late afternoon, expect it to feel much colder as readings drop into the upper 30s.

Strong winds gusting up to 40 mph will add to the chill.

By nighttime, any lingering rain or snow showers will fade, and skies will start to clear toward morning.

Lows will plunge into the upper 20s, with breezy northwest winds still making it feel even colder.

Looking ahead, the end of the week will bring milder temperatures and a mix of clouds and sunshine.
