Robert Michael Bahr Sr.


Robert Michael Bahr Sr., 71, of Vincennes passed away Sunday May 29, 2022 in Evansville, IN with his family at his bedside. Bob was born April 14, 1951 in Vincennes the son of James E. and Bonnie J. Swope Bahr.


He was a 1969 graduate of Lincoln High School and formerly worked for the Livingston IL water department as a laboratory technician. Bob was an accomplished musician having played in various bands in the area starting with the sock hop band Nomads. He then played in the band The Boys and Cross Creek. He was a self taught bassists, guitarist, mandolin and drums. He was a member of the Moose and played in various clubs in the area. He was a devoted father, papaw and brother.


He is survived by his children, Robert M. Bahr Jr, and his wife Darcie of Vincennes and Rani Nichole Bahr, and her fiancée’, Steven Brown of Nokomis, IL, his long time girl friend, Terri Greenwell of Vincennes, IN, his grandchildren, Lucion Noe, Ember Brown, Mary Bahr, Sarah Phillippe, Zoey Bahr, Charlotte Bahr, Josie Bahr and Ricky Shaw. His sisters, Jean Brown, and her husband Larry of Terre Haute, IN and Jan Bahr of Vincennes. He is also survived by his nephews and niece, Chris Copp, Larry J. Brown and Jana Brown.


Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Bonnie Bahr.


A gathering to celebrate his life will be held will be held Sunday June 5, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the family to help defray medical expenses. Duesterberg-Fredrick is honored to assist the Bahr family during their time of loss.
