Lorna Mae Donovan


Lorna Mae Donovan passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 16, 2022; She was 94 years old. Lorna will be remembered as a devoted daughter, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother (Gigi). She loved visits with her family, engaging with people while working downtown, taking care of her home and working in her flowers, a love she inherited from her mother.


She was born in Decker Chapel, Indiana to Charles E. and Helen B. Parker and lived most of her life in Vincennes. In her last years, she moved to Knoxville, TN to live close to her daughter and family. After graduation from Business College in the sixties, she worked as a secretary for E. Bierhaus and Son, Gardner and Son Funeral Home and The Record Cellar. She was of the Baptist faith.


She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Herman (Bud) Parker, her former husband and father of her children, Robert L. Donovan, son Steven L. Donovan, and grandson Eric Robert Catt. Lorna is survived by her daughter Theresa (Steve) Catt, granddaughter Carrie (Adam) Bolling, great grandson Lucas Rex (Lucky) Bolling, and great granddaughter, Lettie Ann Bolling all of Knoxville, TN; grandson Troy (Andria) Donovan, and great grandson Garrett Cole Donovan of Bloomington, IN.


Family and friends are invited to an informal visitation and Celebration of Life to be held on April 23, 2022 at Gardner-Brockman Chapel on 505 Main St. in Vincennes between the hours of 1:00 and 4:00pm. A private burial was held on Friday, February 25, 2022. Arrangements have been made through Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home.
