Billy Q. Newman passed away on Nov. 5, 2021 as the result of an auto accident. He was born on Mar. 31, 1926 in Wheatland, IN to parents, Cora & Allison Newman. He is survived by his wife, Doris (Due) Newman, who he married on December 31, 1984. He is also survived by daughters Cindy Schutz (husband John), Tyla Thomas, Rhetta White, & Diane Lewis (husband Todd), 5 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren. He graduated from Wheatland High School and served in the army-air force during WWII before going on to graduate from Purdue University in 1951. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Westphalia, IN at a later date. Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
