4th of July Events in Vincennes



PATRICK HENRY DRIVE:

There will be both food and merchandise vendors around Patrick Henry Square during the day on Tuesday.

THE PARADE:

The Annual Vincennes 4th of July parade is scheduled to start at 6:00 tonight. The theme for this years parade is "America the Beautiful". According to Mayor Joe Yochum, there are close to 100 floats in tonight's parade. The parade will follow the traditional parade route.

SPIRIT OF '76 AWARD:

Immediately following the parade, there will be a reception for Alan and Sally Snyder, the winners of the "Spirit of '76 Award". Their award will be present at the Riverwalk Trailhead located at 1st and Main street.

After the parade and reception, there will be music and live broadcasts by WVUB-FM on the Riverwalk until the fireworks begin.

THE FIREWORKS:

The annual 4th of July fireworks, sponsored by the Vincennes American Legion will be shot off of the Lincoln Memorial Bridge beginning at dusk.

*The Lincoln Memorial Bridge will be shut down at 6:00 Tuesday night to prepare for the fireworks*
