COVID-19 Concerns Postpone Local Events

Several events across the county are being cancelled or postponed because of the Coronavirus, also known as COVID-19. Local events taking place in Knox County are no exception.

AS OF 03/12/2020, NO CASES OF COVID19 HAVE BEEN REPORTED IN KNOX COUNTY. The following events have been cancelled merely as a precaution.

KNOX COUNTY YOUTH FOUNDATION: The Knox County Youth Foundation's Petty and Mellencamp concert originally scheduled for Saturday, March 28 has been postponed. According to the KCYF, the tribute concert will be rescheduled for a later date. Tickets already purchased will be honored when a new date is announced. Refunds can be given by returning the ticket to the place of purchase.

NWS STORM SPOTTER CLASS: Accoing to the Knox County Emergency Management Association, the NWS Storm Spotter Class originally scheduled for Wednesday, April 8 has been cancelled. The Storm Spotter class may be rescheduled at a later date.
